Rational Numbers - Properties and Operations

Numbers that start from zero are called as 'Whole Numbers'. Numbers that come naturally are called as 'Natural Numbers'. Numbers that are the combination of positive and negative numbers are called as 'integers'. We have learned all of these in our previous lessons. In this chapter, we will understand 'Rational Numbers'. These are the numbers which are represented as a fraction (p/q). But it is not as easy as it sounds to consider any fraction as a rational number. The number has to follow certain conditions and principles of mathematics. And what are those conditions?
