Ratio and Proportion G6
Let say, there are 15 boys and 10 girls in your class. If we divide the number of boys with girls, we get an expression which is 3/2. This is simple maths, but hold on. Why did we divide the numbers after all? The answer is to get the ratio. This ratio provides us with a comparison between two quantities and the relation between them. When two quantities have an equal ratio, they are said to be in 'Proportion'. Different symbols are used to denote each one of them. Want to know how do the symbols look like? And where do we use the concept of ratio and proportion in our day-to-day life? Watch our videos to find that out!
