Suppose I place a coin on a table and tell you to describe its location, how will you do that? You can do it by telling me how many inches it is from the top of the table and how many inches it is from the left side of the table. By doing this you unknowingly chose upper left corner as your origin and told me the location of the coin with respect to top and bottom. Coordinate geometry is just the same, instead of the coin we have to find the location of a point. There is a Y-axis and an X-axis To know more about applications and concepts of coordinated geometry, follow our videos.
